There is NOTHING to lose by putting our faith in Jesus.
If you aren’t actively pursuing and have no true relationship with Him and only toss up prayers when you think you need something, that is why your problems never fleet.
Becoming unfocused on why we are actually here on this planet is why our mental health struggles. We lose our purpose. It’s why so many meaningless, worldly, issues entangle our mind for hours / days / weeks at a time. Getting lost in the mix is why we chase money, objects, feel influenced by like / shares / comments, look at others lives that seemingly have more than we do in envy instead of appreciation of their achievements, don’t truly support one another unless it benefits ourselves. Why we sometimes find ourselves looking down on others for doing things differently than we would. Why we become addicted to sin.
I know I am not perfect. I do not claim to be. I know I never will be. I speak my mind & share my thoughts (too often) among those I suppose I consider friends…. and those who sit silently and view my daily stories and roll their eyes. I am quite unfiltered, sometimes for the better, other times not. I know my flaws. I am working on them and constantly ask for forgiveness for being the way that I am, the way I was brought up, the way school shaped me, the way my experiences molded me, etc.
But I am also completely at peace. Perfectly Imperfect. I know I am loved and cherished. And I believe that if tomorrow doesn’t come, I have a really good shot at being in a real place called Heaven.
If you are lost and broken, I urge you to look to God for help. If you had a bad experience at a church, that was the people not Him. All your troubles can be fixed through Faith.
If you’re reading this far and you want to turn your head the other way and say, “well I don’t believe all that” …. That’s ok too, for you. I just think, if there’s a 50/50 shot that there’s a real place called Heaven, I’d much rather be on the side that is actively pursuing how to be accepted into it, than deny it’s existence and be completely wrong about it.
